Jonathan Stevens - Firm Principal

LL.B B.A. Hons.

Jonathan has over 20 years experience as a lawyer in South Australia. Jonathan has of course been instructed in a broad range of matters across the legal spectrum, from property settlements and children’s issues to the most serious of criminal charges, and most matters in between.

Currently practising predominantly in the area of Civil and Administrative Law, he is a member of the SACAT panel of lawyers.

Jonathan takes pride in the capable group of lawyers at Stevens Law who are producing great outcomes for the firm and its clients.

Amanda Gregory

Amanda Gregory - Partner

LL.B B.A. (Psych)

Amanda is a Partner who has been practising law since 2001, where she has gained extensive experience in all areas of family law, including complex children’s issues involving violence and abuse, complex matrimonial and de facto property settlements involving large scale property pools and divorce.

Amanda understands how stressful and difficult it is for individuals who are faced with separation and divorce and she a deep appreciation of the need for just and timely resolution of her clients matters. With her professional, personable approach and attention to detail, she builds strong relationships with her clients, taking great care to listen and communicate clearly and openly with them, ensuring they understand their legal rights, options, and pathway forward to resolution, every step of the way.

Amanda is a Committee member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance. She is also a Committee member of the Women’s Lawyers Committee and the Access to Justice Committee of the Law Society of South Australia. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys an active lifestyle with her family, fundraising, volunteering and reading.

Steven Zogopoulos - Senior Associate

Steven is a Senior Associate who has over a decade worth of experience working in the Law.

Steven is an “out-of-the-box” lateral thinker who leaves “no stone unturned” when it comes to understanding and solving complex legal problems.

Boasting a mix of knowledge and experience in the Law, Marketing and Business, Steven has the know-how, practical skills and professionalism to assist his clients with their particular legal matter. Steven has worked in a broad range of legal practice areas including Matrimonial and De Facto Property Settlements, Divorce, Children’s Matters, Wills and Estate Planning, Inheritance Claims, Civil disputes, Motor vehicle accidents and Personal Injury claims. Steven has appeared in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Supreme and District Court of South Australia and the Magistrates’ Court of South Australia.

Steven has worked in several noteworthy firms and more recently in a mid-tiered Adelaide firm as the Senior Family Lawyer of the Family Law Division.

Steven has a passion for advocating on behalf of others and his breadth of legal knowledge and experience in a vast range of areas of law enables him to confidently and decisively advance his client’s matters with their specific legal situation and circumstances.

Steven is a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the Hellenic Australian Lawyers Association, the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce (SA).

In his spare time, Steven likes to watch sports including Football(Soccer), AFL Football, keep up to date with the latest in national and international news including global geopolitical affairs, write and perform music and poetry and otherwise catching up with friends – international travel is also a great passion of his.

Alexander De Ionno – Senior Associate

LL.B

Alexander graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He was admitted into practice in the same year.

With a particular focus in Family Law and Criminal Law, Alexander is committed to resolve his client’s matter in an efficient and timely manner.

Alexander ensures that his clients are kept up-to-date and fully informed with the progress of their matter.  Alexander provided realistic advice to his clients whilst at all times striving to achieve the best outcome.

Alexander is a member of the General Panel of the Legal Services Commission and a member of the Law Society.

In his spare time, Alexander is an active Surf Lifesaver and regularly patrols on beaches on the Peninsula.

Cody McFarlane – Associate

LL.B

Cody is an Associate admitted as a lawyer in the Northern Territory in August 2022, subsequently moving to South Australia in November 2022.

Cody is a practitioner of the High Court of Australia and has a passion for assisting clients going through difficult Family Law matters. Cody is attentive and fiercely advocates for his clients. He is also studying a Masters of Family Law and anticipates completion in June 2025.

Cody also has experience litigating in the Magistrates Court of South Australia, namely with respect of:

  • Fair Trading Agreements;
  • Contracts involving motor vehicles and services provided by licensed tradesmen;
  • Strata Disputes (particularly with respect to unpaid contributions); and
  • Debt Recovery matters.

Cody is also able to assist with applications for spent convictions and appealing prohibition notices issued because of a rejected working with children’s clearance.

He is also studying a Masters of Family Law, having completed all foundational topics in relation to children and financial matters, and anticipates completion in June 2025.

Cody is a member of the General Panel of the Legal Services Commission and a member of the Law Society.

In his spare time Cody enjoys weightlifting and chess with his inspirations being Mike Mentzer and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

Braydon

Brayden Howard – Solicitor

LL.B

Brayden graduated from Flinders University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Law & Legal Practice. He was admitted to practice in the same year.

With a significant interest in areas of family and criminal law, Brayden is committed to resolving all his client’s issues in an appropriate and timely manner.

Ever so diligent, Brayden ensures that his clients are updated as to the progress of their matter. Brayden provides friendly and appropriate advice, whilst at all times striving to achieve the best outcome for his clients. 

Brayden is a member of the General Panel of the Legal Services Commission and a member of the Law Society.

In his spare time, Brayden enjoys fitness, reading, and socializing.

Olivia Armitage – Solicitor

Olivia has completed a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Psychology and is currently undertaking her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Olivia is looking forward to being admitted to practice in 2024.

With a significant interest in areas of family law, criminal law, and dispute resolution, Olivia has experience in the legal industry having undertaken summer clerkships and placement at the Director of Public Prosecutions at a leading city family and criminal firm.

Olivia is a dedicated and hardworking law graduate whom possess exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to consistently deliver high quality work for our clients.

Sarah Corbo – Law Clerk

Sarah has completed a double degree in a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and has recently completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Sarah is looking forward to being admitted to practice in late 2024.

Sarah’s areas of interest include family law and wills and estates. She has experience in the legal industry having undertaken clerical work along with internship placements at other law firms.

Sarah is an attentive and dedicated law graduate with effective communication skills, a high degree of attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills.

Larissa Stevens – Practice Manager

Larissa has over 20 years experience in the legal industry. Having previously worked for leading South Australian commercial law firms, she is now the Practice Manager of Stevens Law.

Larissa is responsible for the day to day running of our firm and liaises with all legal professional governing bodies. She is often the “first port of call” for clients and maintains oversight of all files. She is indispensable to Stevens Law.

CLAIRE - Reception/Administration

With over 25 years of experience in professional support roles and office administration, Claire brings a wealth of experience and calm to the Stevens Law Offices.

Generally the first port of call, Claire has the ability to guide, direct, and assist our solicitors and clients in equal measure.

We are extremely proud to have Claire as a member of our office.
